The world’s largest flying aquatic insect, which has huge frightening pincers, has been discovered in China’s Sichaun province.
According to the Insect Museum of West China, local villagers handed over insects that looked like giant dragonflies with long teeth. The museum said that the largest one measured twenty-one centimeters with its wings open. The insect is large enough to cover the face of a human adult, and is also known as an indicator of good water quality. The insect can be found in other provinces in China, India's Assam state, and in northern Vietnam. This is the first time it has appeared in Sichuan province.
