As early as the late 19th Century Crimea has lived off tourism. But the annexation of the peninsula by Russia, using military force, has already had an impact on the 2014 season. In previous years, two thirds of the tourists here were Ukrainians. Today, most of them come from Russia: the Kremlin has launched several programs encouraging patriotic citizens and civil servants to spend their vacation in Russia's newest region. But few have followed suit...
