Illegal immigrant children crossing Texas border 100% terrorists and cartel hitmen

America's immigration situation is out of control. The problem has festered for so long that it is going to take a lot of time and energy to fix. That is time and energy the country hasn't got, so lets sweep this one under the rug yet again, what'cha say folks?
Unfortunately, the rug appears to be resting atop a 100 year old pile of neglected immigration problems already. This year's higher than normal levels of violence in Central America have led to a baby bum rush on the US border, with children running to the US to escape problems started by the US 30 years ago. Never mind the US had massively larger waves of illegal immigrants entering from the south 10 years ago, this is worse, because this time they're cute children! A devious plot by al Qaeda to infiltrate America, no doubt.
The stakes have been raised, with Texas Governor Rick Perry deploying the National Guard, and gun-toting amateur border rangers confusing soccer jerseys for Muslim prayer rugs. Fears of adolescent al Qaeda cells hiding in the herd of refugee children are giving Texans itchy trigger fingers.
None of this nonsense needed to happen. Two years ago, the Texas GOP's crowd-pleasing Texas Solution, with its guest worker visas, looked set to fix America's broken immigration law, but it was denounced as amnesty by the Tea Party and scuttled, leaving Latino voters alienated from the Republican party yet again.
Meanwhile Obama is fighting a Republican House for $3.7 billion dollars to either feed the detained children, or deport them back to Central America, depending which group is yeller louder today. Democrats say the plan exacerbates a humanitarian crisis at the border, while Republicans say acting soft encourages more illegals to cross into the US. It looks like we'll be here awhile, folks.
