Wheelchair-Bound Dog, Anderson Pooper, Melts Heart At Race

An adorable little dachshund recently stole the show during the Wiener Dog Races at Emerald Downs. Anderson Pooper is a very special dog that gets around quite adeptly using a wheelchair.

An adorable little dachshund recently stole the show during the Wiener Dog Races at Emerald Downs. Anderson Pooper is a very special dog. She gets around quite adeptly using a wheelchair.

Anderson Pooper participated in the race, which was held in Auburn, Washington. Other dachshunds got a running start but it didn’t seem to bother Anderson Pooper.

The happy little pooch ran to the finish line and seemed perfectly content to have taken part in the race. (2, vid) As she ran with her tiny wheelchair right behind her, fans cheered and shouted “Go Pooper."

Anderson Pooper was the only cart-dog in the competition. While she didn’t win the race, the pooch melted the hearts of everyone who was there.

She’s also gaining quite a few fans around the world.

A message on the Animals With Disabilities Facebook page notes “Our girl Anderson Pooper has gone viral! Everywhere from New York to Canada to Argentina to right here in the PNW. It has been a fun ride and we are trying as much as we can to spread the word about Animals with Disabilities. “
