    According to a survey by the San Francisco and Israel based company SleepRate, summer is the most stressful season for some people. A third of the people who participated in the survey said that the summer months stress them out the most because they aren’t getting enough sleep.

    Uli Gal-Oz, the CEO of SleepRate, is quoted as saying: “People associate summer with recuperating and having more time on their hands, but because the days are longer, people try to do more and sleep less.”

    Almost half of the roughly three hundred survey participants admitted that they get less sleep in the summer because of social events, and eighty percent said they sleep better when it’s colder outside.

    Gal-Oz suggests setting a consistent time to wake up every day to have a healthy sleep pattern.

    SleepRate makes a smartphone app that tracks people’s sleep and wake patterns using a heart rate monitor to determine how they might be able to improve their sleep cycle.

    Then the app sets up a sleep plan schedule for the user based on their goals of waking up earlier, or spending less time laying in bed trying to sleep.
