Whisky Tasting Octomore Epione
Nosing 4:35
Whisky.com tastes the Octomore Epione. It is not the standard bottling of Bruichladdich. This bottling was created by the owner of Bruichladdich. It is a very limited edition.
The Octomore Epione was matured in a mixture of Vin Doux Naturel and Chateaux Yquem casks.
Careful! These are my notes. A true Peat friend will taste something completely different.
The nose:
A very strong peat smoke note. Some sweets with wine and a oakiness. Quite complex. A quite smelly note.
The taste:
very smoky, with a lot of spiciness, a alcoholic note.
The finish:
long intensity with stinking peat smoke
peat level
162,5 ppm
