If a luxury home isn’t in your budget, take a peek at what one family, from Tampa, Florida is doing to live their dream. The Muellers move into high-end houses that are for sale and basically act like a model American family.

They’re amongst a number of home managers who are taking part in a popular real estate trend. The goal of it is to have human props help sell luxury homes. The families make the residences more inviting and comfortable.

The sales and marketing director for Showhomes Home Staging Tampa explained “The home will sell faster and it's gonna sell for more money, and it sells for more money because it looks more valued and it's cared for.”

The Mueller family works with Showhomes. They get to live in super-attractive houses for about half of what it would cost to rent.

Once the Muellers' place sells, they have a week to pack their belongings and move to the next home. Prior to the economy turning south, the family owned a bed and breakfast in addition to seven private residences.

Now, the couple works at McDonald’s for minimum wage but with their housing arrangement, they still experience a piece of their former life.
