A children's rights group says the latest Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip has further traumatized young Palestinians.
The US-based, Save the Children, says mental health of Palestinian kids is being jeopardized by relentless Israeli airstrikes. It says bombardments have made it impossible for psychologists to finish the delicate task of rebuilding the mental health of children already suffering from the previous war. The rights body says children are likely to face sleeping disorders, and other behavioral issues. Israeli air force and navy have launched hundreds of strikes on Gaza. Informed sources say women and children account for one-third of the Palestinian casualties. According to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees, the post-Traumatic Stress Disorder rate among children in Gaza has doubled after the 2012 war.
