"Thrones" earns 19 Emmy nods, Bieber gets 2 years probation

Emmy nominations were announced on Thursday (July 10) and "Game of Thrones" led all nominees with 19 nods, including one for best TV drama. For that category, it will go up against political thriller "House of Cards," which earned 13 nods, "Breaking Bad," "Mad Men," period drama "Downton Abbey," and "True Detective."

On the comedy side, prison series "Orange is the New Black" racked up a dozen nominations. It will compete against "The Big Bang Theory," "Louie," "Modern Family," "Silicon Valley," and "Veep." The Emmys will be handed out on August 25.

Justin Bieber pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vandalism on Wednesday (July 09) for pelting a neighbor's home with eggs and was sentenced to two years probation.
