This video presents those IP phone systems (Asterisk, Ozeki Phone System XE) that can be used to receive alarm notifications using the Contact ID protocol.

Today's alarm systems use telephone calls to notify Central Stations that are equipped to accept alarms using the contact ID protocol. In the future analog phone lines will be replaced to VoIP phone lines, which means Central Stations will also be replaced to VoIP systems.
