Paris prosecutors seek fines against Femen over Notre Dame protest
  • 10 years ago
Prosecutors in Paris have asked for nine members of Femen to be fined 1,500 euros each for damaging a bell in Notre Dame cathedral.

The trial is the first in France against the feminist group, following their protest in February last year against former Pope Benedict and homophobia.

Three security guards also face charges of using violence against the women.
