A man in Germany reportedly took advantage of the complimentary services at an airport lounge in Munich 35 times in a year without ever actually taking a single flight.

That Lufthansa lounge offers Loewenbrau beer from Bavaria on tap, along with local food like leberkas meatloaf and sausages with sweet mustard to business class passengers waiting for their flights.

Using a flexible one way business class ticket to Zurich, Switzerland, the man would help himself to the food and drinks in the lounge, and when the airline canceled the refundable ticket after a year, he used the money to buy another flexible business class ticket for a later date.

When he got caught using the lounge with his new ticket, he was ordered to pay the equivalent of 2,705 dollars, which is more than two times the cost of his ticket, and averages out to around 75 dollars per visit that he made to the lounge.

Officials at the airport only decided to press charges when the man booked the second ticket, presumably with the intention of continuing to use the complimentary services of the lounge, which also include showers and conference areas.
