New details from Pistorius' psychiatric report revealed in court

Oscar Pistorius is suffering from post traumatic stress and depression. He also shows signs of being suicidal. These were some of the new details to emerge from a mental health report about the famed runner.

In court on Wednesday, Prosecutor Gerrie Nel emphasized another key detail.

SOUNDBITE: Prosecutor, Gerrie Nel, saying:

"The accused presents with an adjustment disorder, with mixed anxiety, and depressed mood that developed after the alleged incident at the time of the alleged offenses. The accused did not suffer from a mental disorder or a mental defect that affected his ability to distinguish between the rightful and wrongful nature of his deeds, a mental disorder, a mental defect did not affect his ability to act in accordance with the set appreciation of the rightful or wrongful nature of his deeds."

The Pistorius defense team has sought to portray him as a vulnerable individual who killed his girlfriend accidentally after mistaking her for an intruder.
