Israel has confirmed that three Israeli teenagers previously reported missing are dead and their bodies have been found in the West Bank.
The bodies were buried in a field near the village of Halhul north of the city of Hebron-al-Khalil. Israel says Hamas is responsible for the death of the teens. Israel’s deputy minister of military affairs said an operation should be launched to eradicate Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called an emergency cabinet meeting to discuss a response. Hamas says any Israeli attack will open the gates of hell. Hamas earlier denied involvement in the disappearance of the teens. The resistance movement said Israel is trying to sabotage the recent reconciliation deal reached by the Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah, which led to the formation of a national unity government.
