Funeral prayers of Major Yasir and Captain Murtaza was offered here on Thursday.
Pilot Major Yasir and co-pilot Captain Murtaza embraced martyrdom as Pakistan Army’s helicopter crashed at Multan airport’s runway on Wednesday night, Dunya News reported.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major Yasir belonged to Jhang and Captain Murtaza was from Lahore.
The dead bodies of the martyred officers were sent to their ancestral cities after the funeral prayers.
According to military sources, a dust storm that hit the aviation base as the helicopter was taking off could have been a factor in the crash.
