A man visiting Brazil has proved that some people will pay crazy money for a specific food. Mustafa Azim, who is a director of UK based aircraft company Imperial Air Salvage, reportedly paid over 71 hundred dollars to have food delivered from Sussex, England.

Azim is headed to Brazil for the World Cup and wanted to order curry for 12 of his colleagues. According to Azim, he was well aware that no restaurants in Brazil serve his favorite dish.

Azim is from Bangladesh and says curry, rice and fish are common edibles for him and his co-workers. Knowing in advance he wouldn’t be able to get his beloved grub, he called up the UK-based Chilcha to place the order.

The owner of the business, Mohammed Wahid, initially thought it was a joke. He remarked “I couldn’t believe it. In the beginning it was a little bit funny for me. I said how can this happen?”

Wahid soon decided to go through with the order. The price for the curry came to about 2 grand.

The remaining 5 thousand dollars reflects the plane ride to Brazil, the chartered flight to collect the food, landing and parking charges along with a fee for a taxi to Azim's hotel.
