so i hope you don't mind but this is your birthday card ((i'm going green this year)).
i'm finding this very difficult to write because we've reached the kind of point in a friendship where i can't say any of the cookie-cutter "happy birthday love you" kind of wishes because it'd honestly just be too simple. i've been thinking about this for quite some time and i still have no idea what possible string of words could ever begin to describe how much i love having you in my life. of all the friends i've ever been gifted to have, you're undoubtedly one of the friends i know i'll have for the rest of my life. i honestly don't know how i'm even going to function without you this summer - the thought alone makes me depressed.
it's probably unhealthy how attached we are. (i'm trying to make this sincere but also as not-cheesy as possible but i realize i am failing miserably kk deal with it)
after everything that's happened within the past year, i want you to know how much our friendship means to me - and that i'm here for you always. you deserve only the best and i hope one day i'll be able to truly reciprocate the kind of friendship and love you've shown me. i hope you have the best day and an even better year. love you beyond words xoxo
