After Lebanon, Jordan has taken in the biggest number of Syrian refugees to date. 600,000 are officially registered, but authorities believe there are over one million. Emergency refugee camps have been set up to cater for those fleeing the violence. Among them is Zaatari camp, now the biggest in the world. There, with financial support from the EU, UNICEF and other NGOS like Save the Children have been using education as a tool to combat the idea of Syria's "lost generation".
