Police in Pensacola recently arrested a man who brutally punched a woman in the face during a robbery. 41-year-old Vincent Lavon Johnson is now facing charges of ‘felony battery, strong-arm robbery and burglary.’

The crime occurred a little after 3 in the afternoon on Wednesday. The accused walked into a local Boost Mobile store. He sauntered around the business and placed his phone inside his pocket before approaching the counter and striking a female employee.

He then demanded the victim, identified as 35-year-old Jessica Smith, show him how to open the register. She complied, which allowed Johnson to flee from the store with the cash. Smith was left with a broken nose and had to go a local hospital for treatment.

Johnson was located hiding inside his own residence. The suspect reportedly has a lengthy criminal history spanning over 2 decades.
