CHINA - The long march of China's gay community

In China, the ninth edition of Shanghai Pride is under way. But in a country where homosexuality was only decriminalised in 1997, the event isn't as bold and brash as similar ones held in New York, London or Berlin. It even has to be labelled a "sporting event"" for organisers to get the green light from authorities. Though Shanghai Pride grows bigger each year, there's still much to be done to change attitudes towards the gay community.
