The social media record-breaking wedding photo of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West kissing in front of a wall of flowers took 4 days to retouch.
That’s according to the groom himself, who recently discussed the photo, the drama surrounding it, and the gargantuan efforts he made to ensure its perfection.
According to West, the problem started when famous photographer Annie Leibovitz failed to show up as planned to capture the nuptials on film.
West believes she was no-show because she’s ‘scared of the idea of celebrity’.
Leibovitz, incidentally, has made her career by taking pictures of famous people and was the one who snapped the couple’s Vogue cover shot.
Regardless, in her absence the portrait was taken by 22-year-old British photographer Conor McDonnell.
Upon seeing the original image, Kardashian was reportedly distraught by the fact that the color of the flowers was off.
To remedy the problem, West spent the four days following his wedding focused on retouching the picture so the blooms coordinated with the bride’s Givenchy dress as intended.
Kardashian is said to have worked on it as well, to the point of exhaustion.
West has publicly blamed Leibovitz for ruining his honeymoon.
