At least 10 people have lost their lives in a bomb blast in the Iraqi capital Baghdad. The blast comes as the Iraqi armed forces and militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant continue their battle in different parts of the country.
Dozens of people were wounded in the car bomb which happened in Baghdad’s Sadri City. Three others were killed when a roadside bomb in central Baghdad earlier on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Iraqi security forces backed by tribal fighters continue fighting with ISIL in Diyala, Nineveh and Kirkuk. They’ve so far gained some grounds in Tal Afar west of Mosul. In another development, Iraqi police find the bodies of 18 security forces killed execution-style near Samarra. There are also unconfirmed reports that gunmen have abducted 100 people from a market south of Baghdad.
