The new round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on their gas-pricing dispute concludes without result in Kiev.
Ukrainian government sources say it is unclear when the new talks will happen. The meeting was held as Russia already gave Ukraine until six-hundred GMT Monday to settle about two billion dollars in gas arrears, or it will cut off supplies to the country. Energy ministers from Russia and Ukraine have been engaged in EU-mediated talks since April to try to settle their differences. Ukraine is a key transit route for Russian energy flows to Western Europe. Any halt in supplies would affect several EU member states dependent on Russian gas.
