Karachi airport reopens after raid

Soldiers and tanks leave this Karachi airport after an all night gun battle.

At least 27 people were killed -- including the attackers -- in the assault on Jinnah International Airport.

Security forces regained control of the airport in the early hours of Monday after ten heavily armed gun men shot their way in the night before.

The Pakistani Taliban said it carried out the raid in revenge for the killing of its leader last year.

Bystanders cheer as the troops pass by making victory signs.

But this is no victory for Pakistan.

The latest fighting all but destroys peace talks between the government and the Pakistani Taliban.

It also raises questions among the public about security.
