Ukraine's new leader says fighting in the troubled eastern regions near the border with Russia must come to an end to prevent further bloodshed.
Poroshenko's call for a halt in ongoing military confrontations in the two eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk came during three-way talks with OSCE and Russian envoys in Kiev. He also urged daily meetings of the trilateral contact group to realize his plan aimed at restoring peace to Ukraine. Poroshenko revealed his plan in France .
