Youngsters in various cities turned to canals as the plains of Punjab struck with scorching heat. Youths of Lahore jumped in canals to rinse the heat away while people in Peshawar resorted to the swimming pools. More on the topic in this report:
Extremely hot weather has gripped most plain areas of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Bahawalpur divisions.
Severely hot weather also grips many parts of Balochistan including Turbat and Sibi division whereas use of cold drinks has increased due to the heat.
Met Office has predicted that the heat wave would continue to grip most plain areas of the country for next few days.
