The anti-Sarkozy Bastille Riot
When: Sunday May 6, 2007
Where: Paris, France at the Bastille
What: This day was the second tour of the French presidential elections. Nicolas Sarkosy beat socialist Ségolène Royal with 53% of the vote. When the 8 o'clock French news announced some Royal rendez-vous at the Bastille, I decided to go to see if Royal was there. Instead, it was a student lead anti-Sarkosy ralley that turned into a riot. I stayed for it all, but my camera battery was low. These videos and pictures are all I have of this experience
