Wolves boss Terry O'Connor hopes to have on-loan defender Sebastien Bassong (hamstring) fit after he missed the 4-4 draw at Swansea.

Winger Matt Jarvis should also be available despite suffering a tight groin in that game.

Leighton Baines could return for Everton after recovering from a hamstring problem.

But Victor Anichebe (groin) and Jack Rodwell (hamstring) are both doubtful.

Football fans across the country will doubtless have several stories to tell about Saturday, 4 February. After a relatively mild winter, it was the day heavy snow descended on England, prompting supporters to face treacherous journeys home.

Tales of abandoned cars, motorway closures and tedious hours of delay were prevalent as even the most devoted follower had their loyalty tested to the extreme.

Despite the weather, the Wolves fans who made their way back from west London that day, certainly didn't question their decision to travel to QPR, as their team had just secured their first league win in ten matches, to elevate them out of the drop zone and renew hopes of another season in the top flight.

Incredibly they've been winless since, securing just three points from the subsequent 12 games, to condemn them to the drop.

Perhaps even more depressing though have been their results at Molineux, where they've not been victorious since the first week of December.

Their spirit to come back twice from a three-goal deficit at Swansea last weekend may offer hope that they can complete their home assignments by ending that awful sequence, but in Everton, they face a team for whom the season's end will arrive far too early.

In marked contrast to their hosts, a seven-match unbeaten run has seen the Blues climb to seventh. Victory on Sunday will guarantee them their sixth top-ten finish in a row. It will also all but confirm them as Merseyside's top-placed club for only the second time in 25 years.
