We spent a late morning and full afternoon on Ile des Porqueroles, France in the commune of Hyères on the Côte d'Azur.
For the two of us to go round trip and for him to have a rental bike, it was 50 euros, which doesn't make this a cheap outing, but we liked it. We were advised by the lady we rented our house from for a week in Hyères to take food and drink. I got a few facts wrong here with my prononciation and also the nudist area is on another island, not this one, but I swam Sicilian style and the few people there did not blink.
You can see the sky is a bit grey here but the day was warm/hot in late May, 2014. The boat back to the mainland at 4:30 pm was packed, so this place must be very crowded in high season.
Bennes are trash bins and we enjoyed seeing the ones in Cotignac where we rented a troglodyte house the week before -- they were all pebbly. Everyone has to be tidy! It is normal.
