Berlin to Share Cost of Nuclear Phase-out? | People and Politics

Germany plans to have closed down all its nuclear power plants by the year 2022. The phase-out plans had been on the agenda for many years before being cemented after the meltdown disaster at Fukushima, Japan. The task of dismantling Germany’s reactors will cost billions of euros, however, and now plans are afoot for the government to cover the financial risks involved.
