The mystery of the tragic and gruesome murder of 6 year old JonBenet captured American fascination.
How could this happen in a safe and respectable area of Boulder Colorado where lawyers spend Sunday tending their lawn and playing golf and wife's enjoy cooking pies and making their home beautiful.
Were the parents of JenBenet, Patsy and John, involved? The apparently 'grieving' couple seemed relaxed and cordial. Within hours of their daughters death, suspicion was pointing at them. Their faces said it all. Where was the sadness, the complete devastation? Sure, they were upset but they showed nothing much more than a few tears in their eyes during the many press appearances. As years went on, detectives were hired, replaced, and despite a change of direction several times, the case would not even come close to being solved.
A failed grand jury indictment two years after the murder of JenBenet Ramsey did not help.
Geraldo Rivera and a thousand other TV/Radio shows carried out their own 'trials' and in most cases, the parents were prime suspects.
The house where the crime happened remained tainted by the crime.
Why it was never flattened is a mystery but even a change of number did not help. It sold for a million dollars less than its real value. Why not just build a memorial garden.
In 2006 Patsy Ramsey died of cancer and the case seemed to die too. Will we ever know?
