Jerry, mécanicien obsédé par la peur des ondes, partage ses journées entre la caravane qui lui sert de toit et le vidéo club old school dans lequel travaille son pote Mike. Après avoir tenté de saboter la centrale électrique qui dessert la ville, Jerry se retrouve doté d'un pouvoir magnétique aux conséquences désastreuses : il efface, sans le vouloir, l'intégralité des K7 vidéo louées par Mike ! Pour remédier à la catastrophe, et satisfaire les rares clients qui font encore tourner la boutique, les deux amis décident de réaliser leur propre version des films perdus. Contre toute attente, l'initiative rencontre un tel succès auprès des habitants de la ville que l'ensemble de la petite communauté s'investit bientôt dans le projet ?
