Sunglasses That Make Colors Pop: Smith Outlier Chromapop

I'll admit, I'm a bit skeptical of newer sunglasses and some of the technology therein. But If I were honest the first time I used a (true) polarized set of lens and looked through water and saw a trout, I was blown away. In the same manner, that a set of polarized lens cuts the glare; Smith's ChromaPop technology, enhances colors.

I was blown away. It was like the Instagram filter X-pro for my eyes. They cut the bright Colorado sun, yet left the vibrant greens and contrasts of the landscape.

In comparison to other sunglasses, which I tend to beat up pretty effectively. I've dropped these plenty a few times on to rough concrete, and the lenses have stayed scratch free. Conversely, one run into a wall with a set of my old polarized Oakely's and I've had a permanent scratch on those since.

At $209 retail the Smith Outlier ChromaPop Sunglasses are a bit on the pricey side, but if you're confident you can keep up with them- they'll be well worth your investment. The technology isn't a gimmick, but truly something else.
