McCartney cancels Asia concerts, Singer files to dismiss lawsuit

Paul McCartney has canceled a run of five Asia concerts due to a viral infection, with doctors ordering him to rest. The former Beatle had postponed two shows in Tokyo earlier this week and on Thursday (May 22) canceled more concerts due to take place in Japan and South Korea. Tabloids in Japan are reporting that the singer has been hospitalized, but reps for McCartney have neither confirmed nor denied those rumors. The U.S. leg of his tour is so far still scheduled to launch in mid-June.

Bryan Singer has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit claiming he sexually abused a man on multiple occasions when the man was underage. In the motion, Singer claims he was not in Hawaii when the alleged abuse supposedly occurred in 1999. The director has repeatedly denied the allegations and said the lawsuit was equivalent to a shakedown.
