A French father, fed up with drug dealers frequenting his neighborhood, figured they would most likely find a new spot to conduct their illegal business if some Mozart and Beethoven played in the background.

The man, who lives in a suburban apartment building in Paris had been watching a group of young men that came out of the woodwork every night for about 2 years. The males would smoke, drink and reportedly sell drugs in front of the complex.

He tried the conventional method of calling the police, but lookouts always alerted the group, allowing them to take off right before cops arrived. Once the police left, they went right back to partying in the usual spot.

One night in April, the father had been attempting to sing a lullaby to his daughters, but the group’s own music drowned out his sweet tune. He began yelling children’s songs out the window. That night, the dealers took off, however they soon returned.

That’s when the father decided to set up a speaker on his balcony and loudly played classical tunes including ‘The Nutcracker’ and ‘Ode to Joy’. Some of them left but others remained and even yelled and tossed stones at the man’s window.

The dad vows to continue playing the tunes and hopes his neighbors will join in.
