Teargas and buckshot echoed above Cairo University where clashes Tuesday left one person dead and nine injured.
The clashes broke out after students marched outside the university, condemning the police and military.
The two sides have fought frequently at the university, which has become a major arena for protests by supporters of former President Mohamed Mursi.
Mursi was overthrown by the military last July following mass protests against his rule.
Three of the nine injured in the clashes were in critical condition.
