An apartment building stands riddled with bullet holes in Libya's capital city Tripoli.

The damage comes after heavy clashes between security forces and armed men late Sunday.

Heavily armed gunmen loyal to a renegade Libyan general stormed parliament Sunday demanding its suspension and a handover of power to purge the North African country of Islamist militants.

Dozens were forced from their homes.

At least two people were killed and dozens were wounded in the violence.

Ten employees from the General National Congress were kidnapped.
