2006 Consumer Electronics Show

The International Consumer Electronics Show is underway in Las Vegas for the weekend and is debuting the latest in automotive electronics. Whether it’s the latest gadget for the Do-it-yourselfer or high-speed internet access for the techy on the road – the 2006 CES had it all.

One of the biggest trends at the show was convenience. Portable GPS systems like the Magellan Roadmate 800 can be transferred to any vehicle and also doubles as an MP3 player and photo viewer (www.magellangps.com). Voice activated phones also come in handy. The Sony Ericsson HBC700 keeps your hands free and eyes on the road. (www.sonyericsson.com).

“We are also really seeing a lot of this year is the use of satellite. Automotive companies are really catching onto technology” says Lauren Fix, America’s Car Coach.

Fix will give viewers an inside look into the top automotive electronics for 2006.
