Lionel Hampton-Duffy Jackson-Drum Battle
Lionel Hampton est un vibraphoniste de jazz et percussionniste américain né à Louisville, Kentucky, le 20 avril 1908 et mort à New York le 31 août 2002 à 94 ans.
Surnommé « Hamp », il a été le premier jazzman à donner ses lettres de noblesse au vibraphone en le propulsant en tant qu'instrument soliste. Il est aussi un virtuose du piano et de la batterie.

Born and raised in Jazz, Duffy Jackson has been performing since the age of four, when his father, legendary Jazz Bassist. Chubby Jackson, gave him his first set of drums. "He had a fantastic feeling for rhythms," remarked the elder Jackson; whose own rhythmic pulse sparked the Woody Herman Orchestra during the 1940's.
