Someone in Missouri disposed of three puppies in a trash can. The Animal Cruelty Task Force is now offering a 25 hundred dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for placing the pups in the trash container.

Someone in Missouri disposed of three puppies in an Overland trash can. On a recent Tuesday afternoon, the Humane Society of Missouri received a call that the puppies had been found.

Staffers learned two are alive but one was dead. The puppies had all been confined in a roll out bin behind a 1,000-square-foot house.

A cleaning crew was emptying the residence when they found the pups in the trash can. According to local animal cruelty investigator , Tim Poorman, the house was an absolute mess and it appeared as though no-one had lived there for some time.

Two of the boxer mixes were thin but seemed to be healthy. The third puppy that passed on had been stored inside a zipped backpack and tossed into the bottom of the can, underneath her littermates.

The Humane Society confirmed the female puppy died of heat stroke after performing a necropsy on her. The other two puppies, now named Simba and Nala have been placed into the care of Humane Society staffers.

The Animal Cruelty Task Force is now offering a 25 hundred dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for placing the pups in the trash container.
