Martika's voice is better than Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, that's an honest opinion. She could sing with real high notes. Though Tiffy and Debbie was then the favorites among teenage pop icons on the mid 80's, Martika made her way making one no. 1 hit and that's Toy Soldier which I believe Michael Jackson was the one who compose the song. This is her first single I guess, and it just reached top 20's.
