Imprisoned Al Jazeera journalist releases video message from Cairo jail

Footage has emerged for the first time of Al Jazeera's hunger striking journalist, Abdullah Elshamy, who has been detained by the Egyptian authorities since August 14.
The 26-year-old was arrested while covering the dispersal of a Muslim Brotherhood sit-in by security forces at Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque.
Elshamy, who has been on hunger strike since the middle of January, says he is being held without charge and is being denied medical attention. Al Jazeera said the reporter was in poor health and has lost a great deal of weight.
"I have been detained since 14th August in Cairo while I was covering the dispersal of the Rabaa al-Adawiya sit-in. I was doing my job as a reporter and despite the authorities knowing this, I have been detained for 266 days without any charge and without committing any crime.
