Anyone for a mullet? Canadian family living in 1986 are back to the future
- 10 years ago
A Canadian couple born in 1986 decided to spend one year with their young family living back in the year of their birth. No computers, Internet or Smartphones. Instead plenty of Whitney Houston, cassette players and radio clock alarms, and the yellow pages.
Blair McMillan and his partner Morgan Patey decided to go back to a simpler time when their eldest son Trey refused to play outside prefering instead to fiddle with his tablet.
However the family are now due to return to the present day.
Morgan Patey said their family had had an “awesome year and I think we have learned a lot as a family about communication. All four of us have come so much closer from spending more time together”.
The boys all grew mullets, got out the Nintendo and turned up to appointments on time.
