Iraqis worry about security as vote nears

With parliamentary elections just days away, many Iraqis worry about security not just for the vote itself but in the long term.


Bomb attacks by al-Qaeda-linked groups have already claimed more than 2,200 lives this year, and frustration at the lack of security is being directed at politicians.


The government says it is taking measures like increasing the number of checkpoints to guarantee the safety of people.
