Filmed on the north coast of NSW this piece showcases Heath's ability to find the merits in boards with one, two, three and four fin boards.
Words by Heath...
Variety in equipment is what keeps surfing fresh and exciting for me. I have always been encouraged to learn about the pieces of art beneath my feet and appreciate different feelings from different eras with 1,2,3 and 4 fins.. All of which have their own merits and worth. The first board ridden is a 5'10" Akila Aipa twin fin, one wave on a DMS 5'10" thruster, then my first hand shaped board (a 5'10" single fin), a 5'10" quad shaped by my brother Sage, a wave at messy Lennox Point on handshape no. 2 (a 6'2" widow maker) and finishing on my trusty DMS 5'10" thruster. A tiny fraction of the possibilities of board design yet such different feelings and rhythms...
Thanks to Jasper Hills for the Title artwork.
