Chief Palestinian Authority negotiator Saeb Erekat says Palestinians consider all options in response to Israel's decision to punish the PA over a unity deal with Hamas.
Erekat said the Palestinians will respond to Israel's decision, but reconciliation and national unity remain as the current priorities for the Palestinians. He stressed that Palestinian reconciliation is an internal affair and Israel has no right to interfere in the issue. Erekat also condemned any possible Israeli sanctions as piracy. The PA official further said Tel Aviv used the split between the Palestinian factions as an excuse to reject a peace agreement in the past and today they are using Palestinian reconciliation as an excuse for the same thing. Israel has cancelled the so-called peace talks with the PA after a unity deal between Hamas and Fatah.
