Marylou elaborated on her thoughts stating "There's no such thing as retirement. What would I do at home? It's great here."
Given that she’s been in the same establishment for quite some time, she had the privilege of meeting the Colonel, who passed away in 1980. In her words, she described him as a ‘wonderful man’ who never drank or smoke.
Marylou said she went to school in Kentucky for Kentucky Fried Chicken, proving just how far her love of the place goes. She is one of the longest-serving staffers the chain has ever had.
Amazingly, Marylou has passed down the KFC passion to her daughter, who has worked alongside her mom at the same location for 34 years. The franchise’s manager, Grant White said the restaurant recently honored Marylou’s 52 years of loyal work with a plaque and special dinner.
