Caught on tape: Man hit by train after taking stupid risk with own life

A 77-year-old Czech man was caught on CCTV footage being hit by a speeding train, which causes his shoe to fly off his foot. But thankfully, he survived.
The footage shows the man approaching the railroad crossing barrier bars as they come down, but instead of stopping, he decides to go around them and take a chance walking across the rails.
A few steps in, the man seems to notice an oncoming train, and breaks into a light jog. He gets most of the way across before the train speeds through, grazing him and seeming to hit him in the foot. Luckily, all the man lost was his shoe. He then manages to limp forward a few more steps before a passing motorist stops to help him.
Just in case anyone needs reminding, railroad crossing guard bars that are down means DO NOT CROSS.
