Student beats up teacher? Miami-Dade college music teacher brutally beaten 'over bad grade'

A Miami-Dade College music professor was attacked and beaten in a campus parking garage last week in an attack he believes may have been motivated by a bad grade he may have given a student.
Music professor Marc Magellan was leaving the campus at around 6pm on April 15 when the assailant, described as Hispanic or African-American, struck.
Magellan said that the attacker approached him and called out "Professor Marc," before hitting him in the face with a sucker punch as he turned around.
Magellan fell to the ground, whereupon the attacker continued to brutally beat him, "powerfully punching his head against the concrete floor of the garage."
The assailant then fled in a blue sports car, leaving Magellan with a broken nose and hand, as well as injuries to his knees and feet.
Magellan spent a week off work recovering from his injuries and is now back at work.
He told police that he didn't recognize his attacker, but said that the only people who would hold a grudge against him would likely be students he had to drop or fail.
