Doctors remove 12 gold bars from Indian man's stomach

This one's about a pretty strange case. Doctors in India have found 12 gold bars in one man's stomach.

A 63-year-old businessman, whose identity is unknown, was admitted to a hospital in Delhi after complaining of vomiting and pain. First, he told doctors that he had swallowed a water bottle cap and wanted it to be removed. But when surgeons operated him, they found 12 gold bars in his body. The nearly 24-thousand dollars worth of gold was safely removed from the man's stomach and promptly confiscated by police. The man was reportedly attempting to smuggle the gold into the country to avoid customs duty. It's worth mentioning that India is one of the world's largest consumers of gold but has recently tightened regulations on gold imports following a rise in smuggling.
